Executive Assistant

Gauge (gauge.ai) is seeking an Executive Assistant to join our growing, dynamic, founding team. The successful candidate will be a great communicator, detail-oriented, love building systems and relationships, be a self-starter and team-player, and believe in the central importance of diversity, equity and inclusivity.

About Gauge

Gauge is a fast-growing, Black-owned tech start-up bridging the gap between brands, organizations, and institutions, and the diverse cultural leaders they typically hear from too late. In an era of big, lofty promises on values, impact and inclusivity, our platform equips and empowers decision-makers to embrace their potential for impact, avoid missteps, and deliver in meaningful ways.

Recently featured in the Washington Post and honored on Fast Company’s list of World Changing Ideas, Gauge was founded by Joshua Dubois – once “pastor in chief” to former President Obama. Today, we help shape game-changing initiatives and more inclusive decision making at some of the country’s leading brands: Snapchat, Target, Pinterest, P&G, Sephora, A+E, CVS Health and more. Check out our recent coverage on Cheddar, ABC 7, and Bloomberg.

About the Role

Day-to-day, you’ll be the right-hand person to our Managing Director, with the chance to build systems and processes, manage details, calendars and special projects, and lead key initiatives. The successful candidate will spot and solve problems before others know they exist.

On a daily basis, you’ll schedule (and reschedule) meetings, join key meetings and manage follow-ups and deliverables, create systems, manage expenses and spreadsheets, track and facilitate team milestones (birthdays! work anniversaries!), and lead the team to generally work smarter, not harder.

  • Ability to juggle multiple competing projects, deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Well-developed organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional discretion
  • Ability to operate independently, proactively raising questions, issues or concerns
  • Cultural awareness –– a sense of interest in what is happening in the world, and how that awareness relates to your work
  • Commitment to kindness, innovation, impact and inclusion

We offer competitive salary, medical benefits  and a dynamic, small, supportive team based with ample opportunity to grow and a fully remote work environment. You'll be on the ground floor of a tech company with tons of opportunity, already serving clients including Target, Snapchat, Sephora, CVS Health, The CW network, and more.

Diverse candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume to jobs@getgauge.com.
